  • From Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport

A 2-hour direct high-speed train journey links Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to Tours.

An alternative option is a train connexion through Le Mans (3-hour journey).
You may also travel from Charles-de-Gaulle airport to Paris-Montparnasse train station (RER B & Metro Line 4 or Air France Shuttle Line 4) or Paris-Austerlitz train station (RER B & RER C or Air France Shuttle Line 4 to Gare de Lyon) and board a train from there.

Two options from Paris:

- High-speed train : one-hour journey from Paris Montparnasse (2 hours from Roissy Charles de Gaulle)
- Regular train : two-hour journey from Paris Austerlitz

If you arrive at Charles de Gaulle airport, you may take a train from the airport.

Tours has two main stations: the central station Gare de Tours, and Gare de Saint-Pierre-des-Corps.
The Vinci International Congress Center is located right across Gare de Tours. If your train terminates at St Pierre des Corps, a train shuttle will conveniently take you to Gare the Tours in 5 minutes. We recommend that you buy your train ticket with Gare de Tours as the destination so that the full journey is included in the fare.

We advise the participants to book their tickets in advance as last minute prices can get very high and availability of seats is not guaranteed in the TGV.

GETTING AROUND

Tours city center is fairly small and walking is a nice way to get around.

The bus network in Tours is very good and the new tramway is in service since late 2013.

Cycling is also a good way to see the city. Tours lies at the heart of the "Loire à Velo" project which has made the entire Loire Valley cyclable, and there are numerous bike rental stores.
