BY TRAINPhoto by David Monniaux Two options from Paris: - High-speed train : one-hour journey from Paris Montparnasse (2 hours from Roissy Charles de Gaulle) If you arrive at Charles de Gaulle airport, you may take a train from the airport. Tours has two main stations: the central station Gare de Tours, and Gare de Saint-Pierre-des-Corps. We advise the participants to book their tickets in advance as last minute prices can get very high and availability of seats is not guaranteed in the TGV. Train information and reservations (SNCF)
GETTING AROUND Tours city center is fairly small and walking is a nice way to get around. The bus network in Tours is very good and the new tramway is in service since late 2013. Cycling is also a good way to see the city. Tours lies at the heart of the "Loire à Velo" project which has made the entire Loire Valley cyclable, and there are numerous bike rental stores.
